Time Argonaut: A Game to Practice Telling Time in English for Rural School Students

This article describes the design and development of an educational game for primary school students in a rural area Sarawak. Students from Sarawak areas face several challenges contributing to demotivation when learning Mathematics Sciences, including poor English proficiency, limited accessibility internet gadgets, lack genuine opportunities practice real life, teachers' proficiency. In this study, gamified module was designed teach about time tailored students' needs. 25 Primary One Baram, were recruited through crowdsourced convenience sampling study. Playday conducted with collect their feedback, results obtained observation feedback. Results playday showed that perceived fun motivated them learn clock reading time, engaging collaborate promoting teamwork learning. The integration gamification teaching creates meaningful process students. It is recommended examine effectiveness at secondary level future studies explore different designs mechanisms
